For one of my classes, MADT (Media and Digital Technology), I had to come up with an idea with my cellphone to make it do something that it wasn't supposed to do. Quite frankly, this project stumped me and I was thinking about it for a week before I finally panicked the day before the assignment was supposed to be handed in and just did something simple. XD
Most people made their phones into something like bases for toys or something, and some used their iPods to create mini radios, which was pretty cool. I might actually end up fashioning something like that myself later on. XD One of the best ideas was creating a box with a hole in it, inserting your phone with the camera into it, and basically treating it as a pair of glasses or binoculars (if you have a zoom).
Mine wasn't that great an idea, but if you're artsy, you might be able to find some use for it. XD If you have a flip-open phone, you ought to be able to angle it. Once done, I put a light-weight picture (a postcard, in my case) on it and took pictures of it from different angles. If you have a lot of extra cellphones, you can make a little display. That way, you can decorate your room and recycle your phones.
I only have one cellphone (and it's a crappy one too, not like those iPhone things. XD), though, so I just took pictures of it with different postcards and photoshopped this. I'm not a good photographer, by any means. >.<
It was really hard. @_@ My next project is pretty complicated too, but I have more of an idea for this one. Basically, I'm supposed to create something "negotiating, critiquing or researching the idea of surveillance". I have a nice graphic all planned out for it already, and I think it looks really nice, but I don't know what to put on it. >_< I don't want anything too long or it'll become too complicated, and I only need a few sentences.
It's like writing a drabble. T_T
